Paul Heidenreich

Paul Heidenreich is the consummate litigator and trial counsel.  His peers note that he is aggressive yet measured, and no detail escapes his attention.  With over 33 years of experience, Mr. Heidenreich has successfully handled a very wide array of cases, including those involving business and real property disputes, personal injury, medical malpractice, construction defects, employment discrimination and wage and hour violations, civil rights claims, toxic torts, traumatic brain injury, and complex class actions.  He has been an innovator in ferreting out abuse by government entities in enacting and hiding illegal taxes as fees, and he has pursued and obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in tax refunds through class action lawsuits.

Mr. Heidenreich has tried approximately 18 cases to verdict and litigated more than 50 arbitrations to conclusion.  He also has extensive experience representing clients in appellate and writ matters before the California Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court.  These appeals include the landmark case County of Los Angeles v Superior Court (2008) 159 Cal.App.4th 353 granting local taxpayers the right to proceed by class actions to stop and obtain refunds of wrongful taxes.

Mr. Heidenreich was admitted to the California State bar in 1984, and is also admitted to the Federal Court, Northern District, and the Central District.  He obtained his B.A. in Business Economics in 1981 from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1984.

He is a former member of the American Board of Trial Advocates – Inns of the Court and has practiced in the Superior Courts in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Kern, Alameda, San Francisco, and Santa Clara counties. Mr. Heidenreich has also has practiced in Clark County Nevada (Pro Hac Vice) and in the US District Court, Northern District of Illinois (Pro Hac Vice).
